Every link on the internet deserves a home. Enwek is the platform where every URL gets its own canonical page, and where people can post a Topic: some text backed by one or more links, rated by the community, discussed, saved, and reposted.
Enwek was founded in Ethiopia with one clear idea: the internet has billions of links, but no single place organises knowledge about those links. Search engines index content, and social media scatters reactions across platforms. We asked why every URL couldn't have its own permanent page where people discover, discuss, and rate it.
From that question, Enwek was born. We built a platform where Pages, Videos, PDFs, and Software each get a canonical entry. Submit a link once, and the world can rate it, save it, comment on it, and find it again, forever. Beyond single links, people can also post a Topic: a short write-up backed by one or more supporting links, so context and sources travel together instead of being scattered across separate posts.
Every Topic can be rated on a simple four-tier scale, from a quick dislike up to a bronze, silver, or gold star, then discussed in comments, saved for later, or reposted to share it with your own followers. And everything you save, whether it's a single link or a whole Topic, lands in your personal Manager: a file-manager style workspace with folders, search, and list or grid views.
Proudly founded in Ethiopia, we are committed to supporting African digital innovation and empowering students, creators, and communities everywhere with better access to organised online knowledge.
Every URL submitted to Enwek gets a deduplicated canonical page. No matter how many people share the same link, all reactions and comments live in one place.
Content is sorted into Pages, Videos, PDFs, and Software, so you always know what you are opening before you click, and can filter to exactly what you need.
A Topic is a post: some text plus at least one attached link. The feed shows the text up top and up to four attached links below it, folding any extra ones under "and N more links".
Instead of a simple thumbs-up, every Topic can be rated with a dislike, or a bronze, silver, or gold star. Ratings, comments, saves, and reposts together give each Topic a community score.
Save links and Topics into one file-manager style workspace. Organise them into folders, search across everything you've saved, and switch between list and grid views.
Whether you are a student, researcher, developer, or curious reader, Enwek is designed to be fast, simple, and accessible, regardless of your background or device.
Born in Bahir Dar and operating across Ethiopia, we are proud to be part of Africa's growing tech ecosystem and committed to empowering local digital communities.
Every canonical URL on Enwek gets a Uniform Interaction Key (UIK), a permanent, 22-character base-62 identifier. All likes, saves, comments, and clicks on that link are tracked under its UIK, so the community record stays intact no matter how the URL changes over time.
Enwek is constantly evolving: smarter recommendations, better search, and new features driven by community feedback are always in the pipeline.
